happy new year!

Mobile Blogging from here.

I have spent New Years day driving from VA to OH. Last night we played Liberty University's Winterfest. We had a good time and there were about 7500 people there. It's still wierd to me that we drove ten hours to play thirty minutes. It's still not as bad, though, as the time we flew to Sacramento , CA to play for fifteen. I'm not sure why, but this blog sounds robotic. I think I left my brain at the Wingate hotel where I only slept for four hours last night. Maybe I should get some more sleep.

Hey, happy new year to you and your family. Hope you have some time to relax and enjoy some quality time with your 3 beautiful girls. Thats sad that you had to spend most of new year day driving, life as a rockstar is not as glamorous as we the fans think. Just to let you know that we appreciate the sacrifices and pray that God will continue to use you guys as you minister to advance His Kingdom.

Much love and blessings in '09!

lol, yeah it does seem crazy to go that far for a shorter show, but its awesome at the same time. I'm missing you guys up here in Michigan but hopefully you'll make your rounds back up this way again sometime soon. Hope the new year is treating you well Matt, God has got great things yet to come for you and your family and the band. God bless!

You guys did a great job in Indy last week. It was nice sharing a stage with you - hope some day in the future that happens again.

Hey, Matt! I hope you guys win the Grammy tonight! You deserve it...and I predicted that you'd be nominated whenever "We Need Each Other" came out.

Hey Matt,
I know it was a long time ago when you came up to Spokane, WA for a concert in October, but my friends and I would like to thank you from the bottoms of our hearts! After hearing Sammy talk our hearts broke for the people in Africa. Quickly after that we got involved. We launched a continuing campaign to raise funds. Our whole school has gotten involved and it has just been amazing! Please check out our own blog: makechangecampaign.blogspot.com.

Mainly I just wanted to thank you and everything your band has done! You are all such an encouragement! God is definatly working through you in incredible ways, keep up the good work!
~God bless

Hey Matt! I loved your show at the Indy Christmas Conference last year. I know it was a year ago but it was so moving and motivational to hear Sanctus Real in person. I felt that just from listening and singing along I saw a bit of God's forgiveness and peace of mind made manifest around me. Keep on man! I love what you're doing.

Matt,
This has nothing to do with this post, but more to do with you. I have to say, I've been listening to the song "Lead Me" with complete admiration of the honesty and love coming through. I understand you wrote it after going through some tough times in your marriage (I heard this on Air1). First time I heard it, I was like woah, that song hits me right in the heart! I'm 37, with THREE girls and all my girls, including my wife, combine for a lot of responsibility on my plate. I can only hope I lead them as God would want me to. I love them all, and have realized myself that only through constant checking in with Jesus and uncovering my motives in life that I can truly stay on the straight and narrow path.

In summary, thanks for a great song!
